From where + price: I bought the palette from Minimani in Vaasa. They have a large display of Essence products. The price was 6,95 €.
Vegan/Cruelty-Free? Product contains carmine so is is not vegan. Essence-cosmetics is against animal testing and does not test products on animals.
Campaign/permanent: The eyeshadow palette seems to be part of the Trend Editions so that would mean that it is not permanent.
Buy again? Yes I would definatedly buy it again! I'm actually thinking of trying out the other palettes part of this launch because this one made such a good impression on me!
Easy to use? I would say yes. The thing is that there seems to be two different types of formulas happening in this palette (in regards to the eyeshadows). So of them seem to pack a punch and are really impressive and then others (especially the purples) seem to have less pigment but are easy to build up. The highlighter is good. Its not amazing but for everyday purposes works perfectly well. It gives a nice glow but for those who seek a more wet blinding effect, this is not it.
I think the colourselection is great in this palette! Especially as a green eyed person I love the purples! The fact that it also has a dramatic green and gold makes it really travel friendly. The packaging is on point. Even thou it is cardboard, it is very sturdy and has magnetic closure and functioning mirror. The palette has a quality feel to it!
Special mentions: I was using the eyeshadows with Wet n Wild Photo Focus eyeshadow primer. The purple shadows stayed nicely vibrant all day after I had build them up to the wanted strength. No creasing, no fading. I actually ended up liking the fact that the purples have to be built up because it makes it easier to do an everyday-makeup look. If I just want a quick light wash of purple on the lid this will do the job in seconds!
